Reduce access to lethal means. Save time. Save lives.

This website provides practical, respectful education on ways to reduce access to lethal means of suicide—across all means, with a focus on firearm safety. It includes an educational tool called FLAME (Firearm Lethal Access Measurement & Evaluation), suggested by Bert Berger.

What is “lethal means safety”?

Many suicidal crises are brief. Reducing access to highly lethal methods during a crisis can create time and space for support, treatment, and recovery. Think of it like seatbelts: a safety layer that reduces harm.
